This portfolio showcases all different types of drawing techniques using pen, ink, markers, pencil and more.
1. Primary Observations Portraits
This drawing was made using a ball point pen following instructions of: "Smiling mouth to stretch from left to right-hand side of paper. The rest of the features to fill within the page." This took me 10 minutes
This drawing was also made using a ball point pen and my non drawing hand (left hand) following the instructions of: "Top of head/hair must touch the top edge of the paper, the chin the bottom and the ears each side. Draw loosely and freely adding as much detail as possible." This took me 10 minutes.
This drawing was made using a green marker pen following the instructions of: "Draw a full face portrait that fills the page, but you may not take the pen off the paper at any point." This took me 10 minutes.
This drawing was made using a red marker pen following the instructions of: "Stare at your subject intently and draw a full face portrait. Do not look at the paper until the time is up." This took me 10 minutes.
This drawing was made using black, blue and orange marker pens, following the instructions of: "Draw a close up of an eye that fills the paper. Start with the lightest colour and then build on this with the next darkest and so on." This took me 10 minutes.
2. Primary observation Expressive portraits
I had to create hand drawings of my own face using a mirror. I had to draw different emotions that my face shows including happy, excited, gloomy, angry, confused and one where I stick my tongue out. This took me 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete.
3. Primary observation figure drawings
I had to draw a quick sketch of two figures sitting in different positions. This took me 5 minutes to complete.

4. Primary observation hands
I had to use a pencil to draw a hand picture of 4 different emotions a hand can show, the different emotions are anger, stop, okay and peace. This took me 45 minutes to complete.
5. Secondary observation gridded
I had to observe an A4 gridded piece of paper with an image on it and enhance that image to be a bigger scale using gridded A3 pieces of paper. It was a 2 hour sketch using a pencil.
6. Secondary observation mythical creature
I had to draw using a pencil and colouring penicls a figure of 6 combined animals, they range from the head of a peacock, a torso of a man, the arms of a crab, the wings of a bat, the legs of a cheetah and the feet of an eagle. This took me 2 hours to complete.
7. secondary observation tracing
For this me and a partner had to go and take pictures of each other in different poses, once we had got all the poses done then we would print off a picture of the poses and trace over them using a pencil and tracing paper. Above is the traced picture and below is the picture taken using a camera.
8. Drawing manga
For this task I had to watch a video and recreate these manga drawings, using a pencil and one piece of A3 sized paper. It took me two hours to complete.
9. Silhouette figure drawings
For this task I had to use a black marker to draw silhouetted figures of people doing daily things. It took me 2 hours to create all 8 images.

For this task I had to make letters look 3D, I used a pencil and followed the instructions. For the F I had to draw lines at a 30 degree angle from the 2D F. It took 10 minutes to complete.

2. Single point perspective
This M had to be created by using a single vanishing point to make it look 3D. It took 10 minutes to complete.

3. Two point perspective
For the X I had to use 2 vanishing points to create the 3D effect. It took 10 minutes to complete.

4. Three point perspective
To create this 3D H I had to use 3 vanishing points and a singular line, it took me 20 minutes to complete.
5. Two point space station
From the vanishing point tasks I had to create this space station on an A3 piece of paper. I followed a video and placed the vanishing points at the centre of the paper to the very left and right. I then drew the objects using pencil that correspond to the vanishing points. Once completed I over went the pencil using a permanent pen and shaded the objects that were supposed to be to give it a bigger effect. It took about 2 to 3 hours to make.
6. Crating
For this task I had to create 3D drawing using pencil and the crates that were on the A4 pieces of paper.

1. Mark making
For this task I had to using different types of shapes and lines to create shading and make these object look 3D. It took me 20 minutes to complete.
2. Blended shading
Using 3 cups, 3 plates, a plastic fork, spoon and knife and a piece of paper I created a model that combine them. I then used charcoal to sketch two different images of the structure I made. I drew the image using charcoal for this picture and shaded it to have a 3D effect. This took me an hour to complete.
For this image I covered the paper in charcoal and rubbed out the structure using my fingers so the white lines create the outline of the structure. This took me an hour to complete.
1. Pastel texture
For this task I had to draw 8 images of textures using soft pastels and oil pastels.

1. Party blower ideas
For this task I had to create different images while implementing a party blower into the drawings, I used 4 A4 pieces of paper and they were done using pencil. They took me around about two hours to complete.

For this task I had to create different colours using the primary colours.
I had to use cross hatching to combine colours and recreate the colour wheel, I did this by starting off with filling the primary colours in and then combining. This took me 10 minutes to complete.

For this task I had to colour in the images using colours that are adjacent to one another, this took me around 30 minutes to complete.

For this task I had to get 4 pieces of A4 paper and use water and ink to paint a landscape of my choice. It took me around two hours to complete.
